First Time Boat Charter in Croatia — Everything You Need to Know

New to Boat Chartering?

If you've never rented a private boat before, the idea might seem intimidating. Don't worry — our job is to make it effortless for you. Here's everything you need to know.

Do I Need a Boating Licence?

No. When you book with a skipper (which we strongly recommend for first-timers), the skipper handles all navigation. You just sit back, enjoy the views, and tell the skipper where you'd like to go. If you do have a valid boating licence, bareboat rental without a skipper is also available.

How Does Booking Work?

Choose your boat and dates on our website, or contact us via WhatsApp for personalised recommendations. We'll confirm availability, discuss your preferred route, and send you a booking confirmation. A 30% deposit secures your booking, with the remaining 70% due on the day.

What Happens on the Day?

Arrive at our base in Ičići 15 minutes before departure. Meet your skipper, complete a brief safety briefing, sign the charter agreement, and you're off. Your skipper will suggest the best route based on weather and your interests.

What If the Weather Is Bad?

If conditions are unsafe, we offer a full refund or free rebooking. Your safety always comes first. We monitor forecasts and will contact you in advance if conditions may affect your trip.

Common Questions from First-Timers

Will I get seasick? — Unlikely. Our boats are stable and we stay in sheltered waters. Can I bring food and drinks? — Absolutely. There's a cooler on board. How many people can come? — Depends on the boat, typically 6-12 guests. Is it safe for children? — Yes, life jackets provided in all sizes.
